Benign Cysts and Tumours of the Oral Cavity

We operate in three different locations including Swansea & Bridgend. Contact us for a consultation

Almost every benign tumour found in the human body may have its analogue in the oral cavity. These may include tumours of the vascular system, fibromas, lipomas, neuromas, neoplasm of the smooth and striated muscle, dermoid and the like. In addition, neoplasms may also be derived from the dental epithelium such as ameloblastoma and a variety of cysts including dentigerous and keratocysts. Most of these need appropriate radiological assessment and/or biopsy to confirm a diagnosis before intervention which is usually surgical.
